Rivers Judiciary Refutes Rumours of Court Ruling in Favour of Fubara

The Rivers State Judiciary has refuted internet rumors that its High Court ruled in favor of Governor Siminalayi Fubara against President Bola Tinubu and former Governor Nyesom Wike.  Rivers State High Court Chief Registrar David Ihua-Maduenyi said in a statement released today that the report was inaccurate and deceptive, especially because it connected Rivers State High Court judge Justice Boma Diepirii to a decision that purportedly originated from a Federal High Court.

That was made clear in the statement.  Judge Boma Diepirii is on Easter vacation, which started on Monday, April 14. She is a judge of the Rivers State High Court, not the Federal High Court.  He counseled the public and media professionals to constantly double-check information about the courts before publishing it and to ignore the entire story.
