Trump Warned by Catholic Bishops Over AI-Generated Papal Attire Post

Following the Pope's funeral, U.S. President Donald Trump posted an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated image of himself dressed like the late Pope Francis, which sparked outrage from Catholic bishops.

Trump is wearing full papal regalia in the digitally changed photo, which has since gone viral. The bishops claim that this trivializes a holy office and the time of grief.

Church officials called the tweet "disrespectful" and "tone-deaf," particularly considering that it was made during a time of grief for the Catholic community worldwide.

They called on public leaders to use artificial intelligence with more tact and accountability, particularly when it comes to religious topics.
