Oyor Rallies Eleme for APC Victory
By Meshach Osaro
The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Eleme for the August 30th Local Government Elections, Hon. Frederick Oyor, has called on the people of Eleme to turn out en masse and vote for the Chairmanship Candidate of the party, Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor, and all APC Councillorship candidates across the ten wards of the LGA.
Hon. Oyor, a former Chairman of the APC in Eleme and one-time Public Relations Officer of the Party in Rivers State, made the appeal in an exclusive interview with Eleme Today after the campaign rallies across the LGA.
In his remarks, Oyor commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for commencing standard reconstruction work on the Eleme section of the East–West Road and for appointing an illustrious son of Eleme as Director of Works and Projects in the South-South Development Commission. He also lauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, for what he described as his “sustained goodwill and support for the Eleme people.”
Oyor highlighted several reasons why Chief Obarilomate Ollor deserves a second term. He pointed to the continuity of development projects such as the new Council Secretariat and cited completed works like the rehabilitation of Nchia Motor Park. He stressed that Ollor’s administration has empowered Eleme youths through employment opportunities, skills training and leadership appointments, while also undertaking community projects like the modern Civic Center at Onne. According to him, Ollor has demonstrated inclusive leadership by carrying all sections of Eleme along, while boosting the local economy through support for businesses and transport hubs.
The APC Campaign D.G. added that Chief Ollor’s administration has left behind infrastructural legacies that symbolize dignity for the people and has consistently promoted peace, stability, and security across the LGA. He further argued that the APC candidate’s clear vision is to make Eleme a model local government in Rivers State, a vision already backed by the trust and confidence of the people who have seen visible results in his first term.
On security, Oyor emphasized that Chief Ollor prioritized the safety of Eleme residents by dismantling crime-prone shanties and clamping down on drug-related activities. These decisive steps, he noted, have restored peace and calm to the communities of Eleme.
Hon. Oyor therefore urged all sons and daughters of Eleme, alongside the business community, to come out in their numbers on Saturday, August 30th, and cast their votes for the APC, assuring that the party remains committed to unity, development, and sustainable progress in the local government.
